The Dodgers’ offseason roster turnover extends beyond the nine Major League players who officially reached free agency following the World Series.
Thirteen additional players from the organization’s minor-league system became free agents on November 2, according to a list supplied by Major League Baseball and compiled by Baseball America.
The group includes veteran pitchers Cole Irvin and Charlie Barnes, Oklahoma City standout Ryan Fitzgerald and several players who provided important depth throughout the 2026 season. Comets
These transactions do not necessarily mean all 13 players are leaving the organization. They are eligible to negotiate with every team, but the Dodgers can still re-sign any of them to new minor-league or Major League contracts.

LHP Cole Irvin
LHP Christian Suárez
C Yeiner Fernández

C Chadwick Tromp

The screenshot circulating Wednesday listed Ryan, Irvin, Barnes and Tromp, but they represent only part of the organization’s minor-league free-agent class.
Three members of the group—Barnes, Irvin and Fitzgerald—spent time on the Dodgers’ 40-man roster during 2026. Barnes and Irvin both appeared in the majors.
Cole Irvin Led The Pacific Coast League
Irvin produced the most accomplished season of anyone in the group.
The 32-year-old left-hander returned to affiliated baseball after pitching in Korea and became Oklahoma City’s most reliable starting pitcher.
Irvin went 12-7 with a 3.33 ERA across 28 starts, striking out 85 and walking 56 over 137⅔ innings. He led the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League in wins and ERA while finishing two outs short of the league lead in innings. MiLB.com
The Dodgers gave Irvin one Major League start, during which he allowed six runs over six innings.
That single appearance should not erase what he provided for Oklahoma City. Irvin absorbed innings, kept the Comets competitive and remained available when Los Angeles needed an experienced starter.
The Dodgers already possess considerable rotation depth, but dependable Triple-A innings still matter. Irvin’s departure would remove one of the organization’s most stable veteran options.
Charlie Barnes Made Four Appearances For Dodgers
Barnes moved between the Major League roster and the minors several times after the Dodgers claimed him off waivers from the Cubs in May.
The left-hander appeared in four games for Los Angeles while receiving multiple promotions, options and outright assignments throughout the summer.
Barnes finished his minor-league season 7-3 with a 3.48 ERA and 80 strikeouts across 82⅔ innings. He worked as both a starter and reliever, giving the Dodgers the type of flexible pitching depth organizations need during a long season. MiLB.com
His ability to cover multiple innings and pitch in different roles could make him a candidate to return if the Dodgers want to preserve experienced depth at Oklahoma City.
Ryan Fitzgerald Put Together A Remarkable Triple-A Season
Fitzgerald may be the most interesting position player on the list.
The 32-year-old infielder hit .315/.375/.485 with 16 home runs, 35 doubles, 102 RBIs and 14 stolen bases over 137 games for Oklahoma City.
His 172 hits were the most by any player in Minor League Baseball. Yahoo Sports
Fitzgerald also brought defensive versatility, appearing around the infield while providing consistent production in the Comets’ lineup.
The Dodgers added Fitzgerald to the 40-man roster during the season but never gave him his Major League debut. With several younger infielders competing for opportunities, free agency gives him the chance to find an organization offering a clearer route to the majors.
His age will influence how teams evaluate him, but a .315 average and 102 RBIs at Triple-A should create interest.
Nick Robertson And Jerming Rosario Provided Bullpen Depth
Two Oklahoma City relievers also stand out.
Robertson posted a 1.13 ERA at Triple-A, making him one of the most effective relievers in the Dodgers’ system when available.
Rosario recorded a 3.17 ERA with four saves and 80 strikeouts in 65⅓ innings. His 27.7 percent strikeout rate demonstrated the bat-missing ability teams look for in bullpen candidates. truebluela.com
Rosario originally signed with the Dodgers out of the Dominican Republic in 2018. He spent much of his career as a starter before transitioning to relief in 2025.
Neither pitcher had secured a spot in the Dodgers’ Major League bullpen, but both represented usable depth behind the arms on the 40-man roster.
Ryder Ryan Shared Oklahoma City Staff With His Brother
Ryan worked as a swingman for the Comets, making 11 starts and 15 relief appearances.
He finished with a 5.19 ERA, 58 strikeouts and 33 walks across 76⅓ innings. MiLB.com
Part of Ryan’s season was spent alongside his brother, River Ryan, before River was included in the Dodgers’ trade for Tarik Skubal.
At 31, Ryder will now have an opportunity to pursue a role with another organization or potentially return to Oklahoma City under a new agreement.
Dodgers Lose Several Catching Options
Three catchers are included in the group: Tromp, Fernández and Quiroz.
Tromp joined the Dodgers on a minor-league contract in August while the organization dealt with several injuries behind the plate. He hit .220/.400/.341 across 18 games for Oklahoma City.
Quiroz was limited by injuries but batted .321 with a .379 on-base percentage and .853 OPS in 78 at-bats across his minor-league appearances.
Fernández played only seven games for Double-A Tulsa before an injury ended his season. His versatility allowed him to work behind the plate and at multiple infield positions. MiLB.com
Catching depth is worth monitoring because Dalton Rushing is recovering from elbow surgery and faces a longer timetable before he can resume full-time catching duties.
Will Smith, Hunter Feduccia and Eliezer Alfonzo remain in the organization, but losing three additional catchers creates offseason work for the player-development staff.
Other Players Reaching Free Agency
The remaining players are Almonte, Suárez, Gorski and Meza.
Almonte, who previously pitched for the Dodgers in the majors, spent the entire 2026 season on the injured list before being activated after the season.
Suárez recorded a 4.67 ERA with 80 strikeouts over 69⅓ innings for Double-A Tulsa.
Gorski missed the first three months of the season before joining Oklahoma City. He hit .223/.308/.388 with five home runs in 41 games.
Meza hit .245/.345/.366 with 10 home runs and 13 stolen bases for High-A Great Lakes while appearing at both corner-outfield positions, first base and designated hitter. Yahoo Sports
Alek Thomas And Ben Rortvedt Are Separate Cases
Two other recognizable players elected free agency before the November 2 group was finalized.
Thomas elected free agency on September 29 after finishing the minor-league season with Oklahoma City. He hit .305/.378/.537 with 11 home runs, 20 doubles and five triples in 68 games for the Comets. MLB.com
Rortvedt elected free agency on October 17 after being outrighted off the Dodgers’ 40-man roster. He appeared in 28 Major League plate appearances during 2026.
Both had enough Major League service time to elect free agency following an outright assignment. That is why they are not counted among the 13 newly declared minor-league free agents. truebluela.com
These Moves Affect Depth More Than The Major League Core
This is not another group of established Dodgers departing from the Major League roster.
Most of these players were organizational depth pieces, and several were unlikely to receive significant opportunities in Los Angeles during 2027.
Their departures still matter.
Irvin and Barnes provided veteran innings. Robertson and Rosario strengthened the Triple-A bullpen. Fitzgerald was one of the best hitters in the minors. Tromp, Fernández and Quiroz gave the organization additional catching depth.
The Dodgers will likely re-sign some players from this group or replace them with similar minor-league free agents before Spring Training.
That annual depth-building process rarely receives the same attention as the pursuit of players such as Skubal, but it becomes important once injuries begin creating roster needs during the season.
The Dodgers do not need to retain everyone.
They do need to replace the innings, at-bats and roster flexibility these 13 players provided.
