Ethics, Editorial Standards and Corrections Policy

Effective Date: August 26, 2026
Last Updated: August 26, 2026

Our Commitment

Blue Dynasty is an independent media platform owned and operated by Robert Medina, doing business as Malachite Media.

Our mission is to provide Dodgers fans with timely, accurate, original, and engaging coverage while maintaining the trust of our readers, viewers, listeners, and online community.

We recognize that trust must be earned. Our editorial standards are built around accuracy, transparency, proper attribution, fairness, independence, and accountability. These standards apply to our Website, social media accounts, podcasts, videos, newsletters, graphics, and other Blue Dynasty content.

Blue Dynasty is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to Major League Baseball or the Los Angeles Dodgers, except where a specific relationship is expressly disclosed.

1. Accuracy Comes First

Our goal is to publish information that is accurate, properly sourced, and presented in the appropriate context.

Before publishing a factual report, we make reasonable efforts to:

  • Verify names, dates, statistics, transactions, injuries, quotations, and other material facts

  • Review the original source whenever it is reasonably available

  • Distinguish confirmed information from rumors, speculation, analysis, or opinion

  • Attribute information to the person or organization that first reported it

  • Avoid presenting assumptions or predictions as established facts

  • Update developing stories as reliable new information becomes available

The speed of sports news does not eliminate the responsibility to verify information. We would rather clarify what is known than create certainty where none exists.

When information cannot be independently confirmed, we will identify the source and clearly describe the information as reported, expected, believed, possible, rumored, or otherwise unconfirmed.

2. Sourcing Standards

Blue Dynasty may rely on information from sources including:

  • Official team and league announcements

  • Player, coach, executive, and agent statements

  • Credentialed reporters and established news organizations

  • Press conferences and media availabilities

  • Public records and official documents

  • Direct interviews and correspondence

  • Statistical databases

  • Minor-league teams and affiliates

  • Verified social media accounts

  • Photographers, broadcasters, and other firsthand witnesses

  • Original reporting by Blue Dynasty contributors

Whenever practical, we link to, name, tag, or otherwise identify the original source.

If another journalist or news organization breaks a story, we credit that reporter or organization prominently. Rewriting another outlet’s reporting without attribution does not make the information original reporting.

We do not knowingly cite aggregation accounts as the original source when a primary source or original reporter can be identified.

3. Rumors and Developing Stories

Trade rumors, roster speculation, injury reports, contract discussions, and other developing stories are a significant part of sports coverage. They also require careful labeling.

When covering a rumor or an unconfirmed report, we will make reasonable efforts to:

  • Identify who originally reported the information

  • Describe the source’s level of certainty accurately

  • Avoid strengthening the original report beyond what was actually stated

  • Separate confirmed facts from analysis or speculation

  • Update the story when the information is confirmed, denied, changed, or superseded

A headline, graphic, or social media caption should not present a rumor as official news.

Terms such as “reported,” “expected,” “could,” “may,” “interested,” and “discussed” are not interchangeable. We aim to preserve the meaning and certainty of the original reporting.

4. Attribution and Originality

Blue Dynasty does not tolerate plagiarism.

Writers and contributors must not copy another publisher’s article, unique phrasing, analysis, graphic, photograph, video, or other creative work and present it as their own.

When information comes from another source, we provide appropriate attribution. When quoting another publication, we use only the amount reasonably necessary to report or discuss the information and identify the source.

Original Blue Dynasty articles should add independent value through reporting, context, explanation, analysis, commentary, or presentation. Merely rearranging another outlet’s reporting is not sufficient.

Photographs, videos, graphics, audio, and other third-party materials must be:

  • Owned by Blue Dynasty

  • Properly licensed

  • Used with permission

  • Supplied for editorial use

  • Credited to the appropriate creator or source

  • Or used in a manner permitted by applicable law

If we receive photographs or other media directly from a contributor, photographer, fan, coach, player, or source, we will provide credit when requested or editorially appropriate.

5. Quotations

Direct quotations should reflect the speaker’s actual words.

We do not fabricate quotations or knowingly change the meaning of a statement. Minor edits may be made when appropriate to remove verbal fillers, repair obvious transcription issues, or improve readability, but not in a way that materially changes the speaker’s meaning.

When a quotation comes from another reporter, publication, press conference, broadcast, podcast, or social media post, we identify the source.

Paraphrased statements should not be placed inside quotation marks.

If audio is unclear or a quotation cannot be verified with reasonable confidence, we may paraphrase the statement, seek clarification, or omit it.

6. Anonymous Sources

Blue Dynasty prefers named and attributable sources whenever possible. Anonymous sources may be used when the information is important, the source has credible firsthand knowledge, and there is a legitimate reason the source cannot be identified publicly.

Before publishing information from an anonymous source, we consider:

  • How the source knows the information

  • Whether the source has direct knowledge

  • The source’s reliability and possible motivations

  • Whether the information can be independently corroborated

  • Whether anonymity is necessary

  • Whether publication serves a legitimate public or editorial interest

We will describe an anonymous source as specifically as possible without revealing the person’s identity.

Blue Dynasty does not grant anonymity merely to allow a source to make unsupported personal attacks, spread information known to be false, or avoid accountability for promotional claims.

7. Headlines, Graphics and Social Media

Headlines, thumbnails, graphics, captions, and social media posts should fairly represent the underlying facts and content.

We may use concise, compelling, or conversational language, but we do not intentionally use a headline or graphic that materially misrepresents the story.

Because many readers encounter our reporting first through social media, factual standards apply to social posts just as they apply to articles.

Breaking-news graphics should clearly distinguish official announcements from reports, expectations, rumors, and Blue Dynasty analysis.

If a material error appears only on social media, we may correct or delete the post and publish a corrected version or clarification when appropriate.

8. Opinion, Commentary and Predictions

Blue Dynasty publishes a mixture of factual reporting, analysis, commentary, fan discussion, and entertainment.

Opinion and analysis may be presented with a distinct voice, but they should still be based on accurate underlying facts. Writers, hosts, and contributors are entitled to their own opinions; they are not entitled to invent facts.

Predictions, trade proposals, roster ideas, “Call Your Shot” selections, and similar content represent opinion or entertainment. They should not be presented as inside information unless they are supported by legitimate reporting and clearly sourced.

Opinions expressed by individual writers, podcast guests, hosts, or contributors do not necessarily represent the views of every person associated with Blue Dynasty or Malachite Media.

9. Fairness and the Right to Respond

Fairness does not always require giving every viewpoint equal weight. It does require accurately representing relevant facts and avoiding deliberate distortion.

When reporting a serious allegation about an identifiable person or organization, we will make reasonable efforts, when appropriate and practical, to seek comment or include an existing response.

If the subject does not respond before publication, we may note that an opportunity to respond was provided. We may update the story if a meaningful response is received later.

We do not knowingly publish false accusations, manipulated evidence, or information presented without necessary context.

10. Conflicts of Interest

Editorial decisions should not be improperly influenced by personal relationships, gifts, financial interests, advertisers, sponsors, or outside pressure.

Writers and contributors should disclose any relationship or interest that could reasonably call their independence into question.

Blue Dynasty personnel should not:

  • Accept payment in exchange for favorable editorial coverage unless the content is clearly labeled as advertising or sponsored content

  • Allow a sponsor to secretly dictate editorial conclusions

  • Use confidential information obtained through Blue Dynasty for improper personal gain

  • Publish knowingly misleading coverage to benefit a personal or business relationship

  • Misrepresent themselves or their role to obtain information

Being a Dodgers fan does not remove our responsibility to report facts accurately, including facts that may be unfavorable to the team, its players, or its leadership.

11. Advertising, Sponsorships and Affiliate Relationships

Advertising revenue helps support Blue Dynasty, but advertisers do not automatically receive favorable editorial treatment.

Paid advertisements, sponsored content, gifted products, affiliate relationships, or other material commercial relationships will be disclosed when required and when necessary to prevent readers from being misled.

Advertisements served automatically through services such as Google AdSense are selected and delivered by third-party systems. The appearance of an advertisement does not mean Blue Dynasty endorses the advertiser, product, service, or claim.

Malachite Media may be identified as an owner, operator, service provider, or sponsor where appropriate. That relationship does not change our responsibility to present Blue Dynasty editorial content honestly.

12. Artificial Intelligence and Editorial Tools

Blue Dynasty may use artificial-intelligence tools and other software to assist with research organization, transcription, brainstorming, grammar, headline development, formatting, image enhancement, data analysis, or drafting.

AI-generated output is not treated as a verified source.

Material factual claims produced or suggested by an AI tool must be checked against reliable sources before publication. Blue Dynasty writers and editors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, fairness, and legality of all published content.

We do not knowingly use artificial intelligence to:

  • Fabricate quotations, interviews, sources, or events

  • Create false reporting

  • Attribute statements to people who did not make them

  • Replace necessary fact-checking

  • Present a realistically manipulated image as an authentic news photograph

  • Copy another publisher’s protected work

  • Conceal a material factual uncertainty

Illustrations, parody, conceptual artwork, or materially altered images should not be presented in a way that would reasonably cause readers to mistake them for authentic documentary photographs.

13. Photographs, Video and Image Enhancement

Editorial images should accurately represent the subject and context in which they are presented.

Routine adjustments such as cropping, color correction, exposure adjustment, noise reduction, resizing, sharpening, and background blur may be used to improve presentation. These adjustments should not materially change the factual meaning of a news image.

Composite images, illustrations, mockups, AI-generated imagery, and substantial alterations should be labeled or presented in a context that does not misleadingly suggest they are unaltered documentary photographs.

We make reasonable efforts to credit photographers and visual sources appropriately.

14. Sensitive Subjects and Personal Privacy

Sports reporting may involve injuries, medical information, family matters, legal disputes, personal tragedy, allegations, or other sensitive subjects.

We consider the newsworthiness of the information, the reliability of the source, the individual’s privacy, and the potential harm caused by publication.

We avoid unnecessary graphic detail, speculation about private medical conditions, and publication of private personal information that has no legitimate connection to the story.

We exercise additional care when reporting about minors, victims, private individuals, and individuals experiencing a medical emergency or personal tragedy.

15. Corrections Policy

When Blue Dynasty publishes a material factual error, we will correct it as promptly and clearly as reasonably possible after confirming the correct information.

Depending on the nature of the error, we may:

  • Correct the text, headline, caption, graphic, or social media post

  • Add a correction or editor’s note

  • Update a developing story with new information

  • Clarify wording that was accurate but reasonably misleading

  • Replace an incorrect photograph or graphic

  • Remove content when correction would not adequately resolve the problem

Material corrections to articles will generally include a note explaining what was corrected. Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, style, or typographical changes that do not alter the meaning may be corrected without an editor’s note.

An update adds new information to a developing story. A correction fixes information that was wrong. A clarification improves wording or context that may have been confusing or incomplete.

We will not silently change a material factual claim merely to conceal an error.

16. Retractions and Content Removal

Complete removal of an article is uncommon because preserving an accurate record of published reporting serves our readers.

We may retract or remove content when:

  • The central premise is found to be materially false

  • The content creates a serious legal or safety concern

  • The material was published without necessary rights or authorization

  • The content exposes sensitive personal information without sufficient public interest

  • Correction or clarification cannot adequately address the problem

  • Removal is required by law

When appropriate, we may leave an editor’s note explaining that content was retracted or removed.

A disagreement with accurate reporting, an unfavorable opinion, or a later change in circumstances does not automatically justify removing an article.

17. Submitting a Correction or Editorial Concern

Readers, sources, and subjects are encouraged to notify us of possible errors.

Please email:

support@dodgerbluedynasty.com

Use the subject line Correction Request and include:

  • The headline or description of the content

  • The Website or social media URL

  • The specific statement you believe is inaccurate

  • The correct information

  • Reliable documentation or sources supporting the requested correction

  • Your name and contact information

We will review credible correction requests. Submission of a request does not guarantee that content will be changed or removed.

Complex issues may require additional reporting, source review, or consultation before a decision is made.

18. Contributor Responsibility

Everyone publishing under the Blue Dynasty name—including owners, writers, editors, photographers, hosts, guests, contractors, and social media contributors—is expected to follow these standards when acting on behalf of Blue Dynasty.

Contributors are responsible for:

  • Submitting original work

  • Verifying factual claims

  • Preserving source materials when appropriate

  • Providing accurate attribution

  • Disclosing relevant conflicts of interest

  • Cooperating with the correction process

  • Respecting copyright, privacy, and applicable law

Violations may result in correction, removal of content, loss of publishing access, or termination of the contributor relationship.

19. Editorial Independence

Blue Dynasty maintains editorial control over its reporting, commentary, headlines, graphics, podcasts, videos, and social media content.

Sources, subjects, advertisers, sponsors, and outside organizations may identify factual concerns or provide information, but they do not receive an automatic right to approve or suppress independent editorial coverage.

In limited circumstances, we may allow a source to review their own quotations or technical information for accuracy. This does not give the source control over the article’s conclusions, context, or publication.
