Mike Sirota Earns Triple-A Promotion After Breakout Dodgers Season
Mike Sirota is moving one step closer to the Major Leagues after one of the strongest seasons by any player in the Dodgers’ farm system.
The Dodgers are promoting Sirota to Triple-A Oklahoma City following a breakout campaign split between High-A Great Lakes and Double-A Tulsa.
Sirota batted .306 with a .459 on-base percentage and a .985 OPS across the two levels. He finished with 17 home runs, 62 RBIs, 99 runs scored and 13 stolen bases.
His performance has helped him climb to No. 2 in the Dodgers’ system and No. 15 among all prospects in baseball, according to MLB Pipeline.
Sirota Dominated at Two Levels
Sirota opened the season with Great Lakes and quickly showed that High-A pitching was no longer presenting much of a challenge.
He hit .325 with a .478 on-base percentage and a .602 slugging percentage across 35 games, producing seven home runs, 11 doubles and 22 RBIs. The Dodgers promoted him to Tulsa in May, placing him alongside several of the organization’s other highly regarded young outfielders.
The move to Double-A did little to slow him down.
Sirota continued reaching base consistently while adding power against more advanced pitching. He also homered during Tulsa’s postseason series before the Drillers were eliminated.
His ability to maintain his production after the promotion was one of the most encouraging parts of his season. Sirota did not simply overpower younger competition. He continued performing after reaching the upper levels of the farm system.
A 72-Game On-Base Streak Defined His Season
Sirota’s most impressive accomplishment was a 72-game on-base streak that began with Great Lakes and continued following his promotion to Tulsa.
The streak demonstrated the combination of hitting ability and plate discipline that has driven his rapid rise through prospect rankings.
Sirota does not rely solely on home runs to create offense. He controls the strike zone, draws walks and consistently gives himself opportunities to reach base. That approach helped him record a .459 on-base percentage despite spending most of the season against Double-A pitching.
His production also earned him a selection to the 2026 All-Star Futures Game.
Dodgers Continue Benefiting From Gavin Lux Trade
Sirota joined the Dodgers in January 2025 when Los Angeles traded Gavin Lux to the Cincinnati Reds.
The Dodgers received Sirota and a Competitive Balance Round A draft pick in the deal. Sirota had been selected by Cincinnati in the third round of the 2024 MLB Draft after playing at Northeastern University.
Los Angeles had previously drafted him in the 16th round out of high school in 2021, but he chose to attend college instead of signing.
A knee injury ended his first season in the Dodgers’ organization early, limiting him to 59 games in 2025. A healthy 2026 season gave Sirota the opportunity to show why Los Angeles had remained interested in him for several years.
He has now produced a .316 batting average and a 1.016 OPS through his first 157 Minor League games.
Triple-A Will Present His Next Test
The promotion gives Sirota his first opportunity to face Triple-A pitching and places him at the highest level of the Minor Leagues.
It should not be interpreted as confirmation that a Major League promotion is imminent. The Dodgers already have considerable outfield depth, and Sirota still needs experience against pitchers with Major League repertoires and command.
However, reaching Triple-A before the end of his second professional season represents significant progress.
Sirota entered 2026 as one of several talented outfielders in the Dodgers’ system. He will finish it as one of the highest-ranked prospects in baseball and a player who has forced his way closer to the organization’s Major League plans.
The competition only becomes more difficult at Triple-A, but Sirota has earned the opportunity to take that next step.
